A McDonalds near me is doing a test marketing of their new English Pub Burger. Let’s start off with a quote from the front of the add.

“If someone asks you if you fancy an English Pub Burger, the correct response is YES! This sandwich is smashing, made with 1/3 lb. of 100% Angus beef, hickory-smoked bacon, white cheddar & American cheese, grilled onions, tangy steak sauce & smoky Dijon mustard sauce all housed on an artisan roll. It’s so tasty, you’ll be gobsmacked!”

All silly English slang aside, this burger is really amazing. The burger itself is essentially the same burger they use on the Angus third-pounders. (Which isn’t a bad thing) The mixture of cheeses gives the same cheesy flavor that all burgers have, but give a surprising twist with the added cheddar. I, for one, am not a fan of onions, but the grilled onions on the burger taste great. They give a nice texture to the burger and the flavor mixes well with the tanginess of the dijon mustard and the steak sauce. I have eaten a total of 3 of these burgers in the past week, and they are one of my favorites. I highly suggest you request these at your local McDonalds, and maybe we can get this to be a permanent part of the McDonalds menu. SPREAD THE WORD!
